Day of adoption of the National Anthem of Uzbekistan
Today marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the National Anthem.
The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on December 10, 1992. According to the document, the National Anthem is a symbol of state sovereignty, deep respect for the National Anthem is the patriotic duty of every compatriot. Citizens of Uzbekistan, like other people living in the country, must respect the country’s anthem.
The author of the anthem is the outstanding Uzbek poet, Hero of Uzbekistan Abdulla Oripov, the music was written by the People’s Artist, famous composer Mutal Burkhanov. The anthem, as a symbol that embodies the history of the country, its spiritual traditions, values, all power and potential, is intended to awaken high feelings in every citizen, to sing of freedom, dreams and aspirations of the people.
The Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan plays an important role in forming young people’s love for the Motherland, deep respect for the rich history, and raising children as comprehensively developed personalities.
