The President of Uzbekistan receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met in Kuwait City with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Abdullah Al-Yahya.

The discussion focused on continuing active political dialogue and expanding trade, economic, investment, and financial cooperation in the context of the agreements reached during the current historic visit to Kuwait. 

Deep satisfaction was expressed with the high-level decision to develop relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait into a comprehensive partnership.

The importance of organizing regular inter-MFA consultations and jointly preparing for the “Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council” summit in Samarkand was emphasized. 

Signing a new Cooperation Program with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development as part of the visit was noted with satisfaction. 

Special attention was given to advancing projects in food security, industrial cooperation, infrastructure, tourism, and other areas and establishing direct air connections between the two countries.
