Master plan for international tourism center reviewed

Thanks to the favorable investment climate in the country, innovative ideas are emerging in all areas and new large-scale projects are being implemented. In particular, more than 2,000 new entrepreneurs have started their activities in the tourism sector alone in recent years. Last year, the number of foreign tourists exceeded 10 million people for the first time. In the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region alone, resorts such as “Amirsoy”, “Ugam River”, as well as the tourist zones “Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai” were created.
Such rates of development are attracting more and more foreign investors. Earlier, plans were announced to build the international tourism center “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan” on the shore of the Charvak reservoir. During the current presentation, the master plan for this large-scale project, developed with the participation of several foreign companies, was reviewed. As noted, the project provides for the phased construction of the center, divided into 10 compact zones. Each of them will include recreation facilities and necessary services within walking distance. For the convenience of visitors, a bridge is planned to be built between the two banks of the reservoir. A boulevard, beaches and recreation areas will be arranged near the water, and hotels, cottages, residential buildings, restaurants and spectator areas will be on the slopes. In addition, cultural, educational, medical and sports facilities will appear here. Thus, the complex will not only be a tourist destination, but also a space for year-round living.
The head of our state emphasized that the center should be convenient for all visitors, and gave instructions to provide the complex with the necessary infrastructure.
