Uzbekistan joins the European Critical Raw Materials Alliance!
Last year, the European Union and Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of understanding on critical raw materials. Today, the Uzbek Technological Metals Plant (TMK) officially joined the European Critical Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA). This step strengthened Uzbekistan’s position in the global critical minerals market.
ERMA is a key platform shaping the resource policy of the European industry and ensuring reliable supplies of lithium, tungsten, molybdenum and rare earth elements. The Alliance plays a decisive role in Europe’s transition to green technologies and the energy of the future.
“We look forward to working together with TMK to implement the goals of ERMA, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the European Union and Uzbekistan,” said ERMA Director Massimo Gasparone.
Membership in ERMA will take TMK to a new level:
• financial mechanisms will be expanded through European grants and investments,
• joint research will be conducted and innovations will be implemented with leading European centers,
• TMK products will receive additional opportunities to enter the international market with even higher quality standards.
This partnership will transform Uzbekistan from a simple supplier of resources into a full-fledged innovative partner of the global industry!
