The President of Uzbekistan concludes his official visit to China

On August 31, in the city of Tianjin, the Head of State, together with his spouse, took part in the informal events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit at the Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center.
On September 1, the Leader of Uzbekistan participated in the regular meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State and in the “SCO Plus” format session, during which he put forward several initiatives aimed at further strengthening multilateral cooperation and improving the organization’s activities.
On September 2, in Beijing, negotiations were held with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, with the participation of official delegations. Following the talks, a substantial package of bilateral documents was signed in priority areas of practical cooperation.
A meeting was held with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, during which the leaders discussed pressing issues of bilateral cooperation.
The President of Uzbekistan also held fruitful meetings with the Premier of China, Li Qiang, heads of foreign delegations, and representatives of China’s business community.
On September 3, the President of Uzbekistan took part in the Victory Parade held in Beijing to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Following the visit, the President of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent. At the airport, the distinguished guests were seen off by officials of the People’s Republic of China.
