RESULTS OF CULTURAL COOPERATION
It is worth noting that, thanks to the active political dialogue between the heads of state, significant progress is being achieved in all areas, and large-scale cooperation is rapidly developing.
A clear example of this is the fruitful cooperation in culture, healthcare, science, education, tourism, and sports, based on intergovernmental agreements. Thus, in recent years, regular visits by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan to further strengthen cultural ties, and, in turn, the presence of such influential representatives from Kazakhstan in our country, serve to further strengthen cultural ties between the two countries. An example of mutual cultural ties is the participation of Kazakhstan's representatives in the Lyazgi International Dance Festival, held in Khiva from April 25–30, 2022. Similarly, Uzbekistan Culture Days were held in Astana from November 20–23 of the same year.
These relations acquired a multipolar nature following the establishment of the TURKSOY organization, a symbol of the unity of the Turkic peoples. From June 6–10, 2023, a delegation and creative team led by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan, O. Nazarbekov, took part in the celebration of the organization's 30th anniversary in Almaty.
On June 18–19, 2023, a delegation and creative team led by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan, N. Daushev, took part in the celebration of TURKSOY's 30th anniversary in Tashkent. Furthermore, Days of Kazakh Culture were celebrated in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara, Uzbekistan, from June 18–24, 2023. A delegation and a creative team led by Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture and Sports, A. Oralov, participated. The practical results of such mutually beneficial cooperation are multifaceted and serve to strengthen the historical ties between the two fraternal peoples.
As is well known, these two fraternal peoples have much to learn from each other. For example, in cultural life, from folk oral traditions to the development of contemporary national singing, they are developing together and acquiring a modern identity.
Representatives of Kazakhstan participated in the Lyazgi Festival, which took place in Khiva from April 25–30, 2024, and the Art of Makom Festival, which took place in the Zamin District from June 27–30. It was noted that, thanks to active political dialogue, great strides have been made in all areas, and broad cooperation is rapidly developing. Similarly, from August 6 to 9, 2024, as part of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, the "Days of Uzbekistan Culture" were organized in Astana. Events included an exhibition of fine and applied arts of Uzbekistan and Days of Uzbek Cinema. Representatives of Kazakhstan participated in the international "Sharq Taronalari" festival, which was held in Samarkand from August 26 to 30, 2024.
The participation of Kazakhstan's representatives in the Second Cultural Forum of the Turkic World and the Fourth International Melon Art Festival, held in Khiva from April 26 to 28, 2025, as well as the tour of the Uzbek State Musical Comedy (Operetta) Theater in Kazakhstan from September 18 to 22 of this year, also serve as a striking example of the cultural cooperation between the two fraternal peoples. Another pillar of mutual cooperation is the provision of cultural and humanitarian assistance to each other at the state level. The development of the international media platform "History and Culture of Central Asia: A Single History and a Common Future" and the mutual celebration of anniversaries of scholars and historical figures from both countries are also discussed on the pages of these practical relations.
Moreover, the scale of such mutually beneficial relations between the parties continues to expand, and this will undoubtedly serve as an example for the nations of the world for many years to come, a symbol of good-neighborliness, peace, harmony, and tolerance between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
