Major energy projects: why do investors choose Uzbekistan?

This meeting was also a practical example of the country's new political direction - the "New Uzbekistan" strategy. The ongoing reforms, openness in public administration, and an active position in the global arena have significantly increased the country's influence in the region. The presence of investors from different countries of the world, prestigious companies, and the demonstration of modern technologies at the event once again confirmed the effectiveness of this policy. This is evidence that Uzbekistan has become the most stable, most promising, and most reliable investment destination in Central Asia.

During the conversation with His Excellency the President, I once again witnessed that he never limits himself to past achievements. The President always sees the future, creates a strategy, and sets major geoeconomic goals. It is also very significant that he emphasized the need to further expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia in all areas. This is evidence that relations between the two countries are reaching a new level not only economically, but also politically.

Our meeting, as usual, was very productive and meaningful. Strategic instructions were given, new political and economic tasks were set to accelerate the implementation of major projects and increase investment flows between the two countries.

One of the most notable aspects is the very sincere, trusting and politically very important relations between our Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and your President. This friendship is shaping a strategic partnership that plays a decisive role in the geopolitical architecture of the region.

If we look at 2021, investments between the two countries were almost non-existent. Today, this indicator is very high. This marks a new stage in the political and economic union. As a result of this recent meeting, the goal was set to further increase the existing figure. This clearly shows the strategic importance of the relations between the two countries.

We are glad that the projects of our companies contribute to Uzbekistan's energy security, sustainable development strategy, personnel training and increasing human capital. These projects are not just business, they are the product of the political will of the two countries, a strategic partnership aimed at the future.

For us, being in Uzbekistan and investing in this country is an honor and confidence. Because this country has chosen a unique development model, is implementing modern reforms and is open to international cooperation.
