President of Uzbekistan receives Azerbaijani Prime Minister

The meeting was also attended by the heads of Azerbaijani companies “PASHA Holding”, “Neqsol Holding”, “AzerGold”, and the International Bank of Azerbaijan.

At the beginning of the conversation, Ali Asadov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the head of our state.

The leader of our country, in turn, congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the holiday celebrated yesterday - National Salvation Day.

The urgent issues of further expanding and strengthening Uzbek-Azerbaijani friendship, strategic partnership and alliance were considered.

Active contacts at all levels were noted with satisfaction. Since the beginning of this year, the volume of trade turnover has increased by 40 percent. Cooperation projects are being successfully implemented in construction, energy, mining, geology, logistics, tourism and other sectors.

It was emphasized that the governments of the two countries should carefully prepare the economic agenda of the upcoming high-level summit.

It was noted that the next meeting of the Inter-Governmental Commission and the Forum of Regions should be successful.
