Vladimir Norov meets with the EU delegation
On May 25, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held talks with the Head of the European Union Delegation, Ambassador Charlotte Adrian, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, as well as upcoming events in bilateral and regional formats, were discussed during the talks.
The European side positively assessed the intensification of relations with Uzbekistan observed in recent years in a wide range of areas of mutual interest. The effective functioning of cooperation bodies, which contribute to strengthening cooperation in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, was noted.
The parties confirmed their readiness to organize the EU – Central Asia ministerial meeting in Samarkand to strengthen connectivity and sustainable development, as well as to carry out thorough preparatory work for it.
Views were also exchanged on regional and international issues.
