SCO Women’s Forum kicks off in Tashkent

On August 19, the SCO Women’s Forum kicked off in Tashkent, organized to discuss the most pressing issues of the status of women and further increase their professional and social activity.

The organizers of the event are the Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Committee for Women and Family Affairs and the SCO Public Diplomacy Center.

The forum is attended by heads of state organizations of the SCO member states in charge of gender issues, women parliamentarians, political and public figures, representatives of civil society, international organizations, diplomatic corps, as well as national and foreign media.

The SCO Women Entrepreneurs Conference will take place within the framework of the forum for the first time.
