President of Uzbekistan to pay an official visit to Hungary
At the invitation of the Hungarian side, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Hungary on 3-4 October.
The upcoming summit is a return visit of the President of Uzbekistan in accordance with the agreements reached at the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Tashkent in March last year.
Following the program of the stay in Budapest, talks will be held at the highest level – with the President of Hungary Katalin Novák and Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
The agenda of the summit includes current issues of further developing the strategic partnership and enhancing multifaceted cooperation, primarily in trade, economic, investment, agricultural, financial, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The main attention will be paid to the implementation of joint projects and programs aimed at increasing the trade turnover, deepening industrial cooperation in pharmaceuticals, agro-industrial complex, mechanical engineering, water conservation and other areas.
Views will be exchanged on the issues of international and regional politics, including interaction within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
Following the talks, it is planned to sign a joint statement and a solid package of bilateral agreements.
The President of Uzbekistan is expected to hold a meeting with the heads of leading companies and banks in Hungary.
