President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Syrdarya region on March 14 to get acquainted with the population’s living conditions.
Along the way, the Head of state had a sincere conversation with Mufti Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, the Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan. They talked about the work being carried out in the spiritual and enlightenment sphere and the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan.
As is known, on March 11, Muslims in Uzbekistan, like the entire Islamic ummah around the world, joyfully met this blessed month. Our compatriots who fast perform their religious rites in peace and prosperity. The Quran is recited in mosques, and prayers for peace, abundance, and prosperity are offered for the benefit of people.
The Mufti noted that on these bright days, qualities like tolerance and generosity manifest even more clearly. Following the call of their hearts, our compatriots strive to increase their good deeds.
The President shared his views on spending this month with dignity, the need to value peace in the country, and strengthening the atmosphere of kindness and mutual assistance. It was emphasized that the policy of enhancing the honor and dignity of a person, ensuring the interests of the people, and supporting those in need will be continued.
The development of entrepreneurship and full use of households’ capabilities are noted as essential aspects of improving the standard of living of the rural population. They spoke about the importance of raising young people as educated, enlightened, and patriotic individuals, instilling diligence in study and work.
