Cooperation established with the House of Islamic Heritage in Kuwait

During the visit, organized with the practical support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait, the members of the delegation were welcomed by the Director of the Museum, Ziyad Rajab. The Tariq Rajab Museum, located in the capital of Kuwait, Al-Kuwait City, contains a private collection of more than 30,000 ancient and modern objects.
The museum was founded by Kuwaiti entrepreneur Tariq Sayyid Rajab. The institution began its activities in 1980. It houses a personal collection formed over many years and is known as the Tariq Rajab Museum.
During the visit, the members of the delegation also visited the House of Islamic Heritage in Kuwait with the aim of establishing wide-ranging cooperation. The Kuwait Islamic Heritage House was established under the supervision of the country's National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature to showcase the Al-Sabah Collection of Islamic Art. The collection contains more than 20,000 masterpieces of Islamic art, spanning from China to Andalusia and spanning the period from the 1st to the 13th centuries AH.
The Kuwait Islamic Heritage House also houses a special library containing a collection of rare books dating back to the 19th century AD. It also houses publications covering research related to Islamic art and civilization. The House of Islamic Artifacts houses the Sabah Collection, which contains 30,000 antiquities collected by the late Sheikh Nasser and Sheikha Hassa. This collection reflects the Islamic and Arab cultural heritage of the region.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikha Anoud Ibrahim Al-Sabah was presented with a book-album titled "Bukhara" published by the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
For reference, the collection of the Museum of Islamic Art is diverse and includes rare masterpieces such as Quranic manuscripts and scientific works, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, glass, metal, stone, wood, ivory, and carpets. The library has a collection of rare books and reference books in Arabic and other languages.
