Proposal to allow individual entrepreneurs to trade in gold products approved

It was noted that the share of the "hidden" economy in the sector is high. Items worth $550-600 million per year are circulating in unofficial gold markets. Or, if independent prospectors handed over 40 kilograms of gold in 2020, last year this decreased by 100 times.

At the meeting, proposals were made to allow individual entrepreneurs to trade in gold products in order to bring the industry out of the "shadow", and to cover part of the costs of bringing designers, technologists, and gemologists working with precious stones from abroad to create a national brand in jewelry.

The head of our state approved these proposals.
