First Ladies of Uzbekistan and Türkiye visit the Ankara Palas Museum

Located in the historic center of Ankara, the museum occupies about 1,000 square meters and is an architectural site with nearly a century of history, reflecting Türkiye’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.
The museum’s exhibition includes examples of weaving, porcelain, manuscripts, diplomatic gifts, and personal belongings of the founder of the republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as well as artifacts from the Ottoman and Republican periods. A special place in the collection is held by the works of Bukhara artisans, which clearly demonstrate the mutual cultural influence and historical ties between the peoples.
During the visit, the guests were presented with a collection of dresses and demonstrations of traditional embroidery, ceramic painting, and doll-making. Ziroat Mirziyoyeva noted the importance of preserving cultural heritage, emphasizing the Turkish people’s special commitment to this mission.
It was also emphasized that the development of humanitarian cooperation remains an important area of bilateral relations and that culture plays a key role in bringing people closer together.
The First Ladies of the two countries then took part in a ceremony at which the heads of state inaugurated a residential complex built by the Uzbek side in Hatay Province and launched the construction of a school in Istanbul, which will become Uzbekistan’s first educational institution abroad.
