The President of the Federal Republic of Germany visited the Center for Islamic Civilization

Today, June 18, the high-ranking guest visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent.

President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and other officials.

The Center for Islamic Civilization is a large international scientific and cultural complex that combines historical and modern science and serves to study manuscript sources based on digital technologies.

The domes, facades and elegant ornaments of the center, built in harmony with national architectural traditions and modern design approaches, reflect its unique architectural appearance.

The distinguished guest was introduced in detail to the sections “Pre-Islamic Civilizations”, “The First Renaissance”, “The Second Renaissance”, “Uzbekistan in the 20th Century” and “New Uzbekistan - New Renaissance”, which highlight important stages in the historical development of our people. These expositions cover the history of these periods through rare objects, manuscript sources, photographic materials and modern multimedia tools.

The delegation visited the Hall of the Holy Quran and got acquainted with the ancient Mushaf of Usman, one of the rarest monuments of the Islamic world. This unique source will leave a deep impression on visitors with its great historical and cultural significance.

The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, emphasized the incomparable role of the Center for Islamic Civilization in strengthening interstate cultural dialogue and spiritual closeness, as well as strengthening international cooperation in a global context.
