The President of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of expanding technological and investment partnership with China

The meeting was attended by the heads of the companies "China Energy Engineering Corporation", "China Datang", "Sinoma Energy Conservation", "China Southern Power Grid", "CAMCE", "CNNC", "State Nuclear Uranium Resource Development", as well as representatives of "The Export-Import Bank of China" and "Bank of China".
Issues of promoting mutually beneficial high-tech projects in the energy and geology sectors, and expanding practical cooperation in banking and finance were considered.
The Head of State noted with deep satisfaction that Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in trade, economy and investment is developing rapidly.
Over the past year, the volume of trade turnover exceeded $6 billion, and direct investments from China amounted to more than $8 billion. Almost 6 thousand joint ventures are successfully operating in our country.
Particular attention was paid to promoting projects in the field of "green" energy. With the participation of leading Chinese companies, solar and wind power plants and energy storage systems are being built in Uzbekistan.
Plans to accelerate these projects and launch new initiatives such as expanding the capacity of photovoltaic plants, introducing agrovoltaics, and building power transmission lines were supported.
Particular attention was paid to relations in the field of energy production from waste processing, the development of data centers and other modern technological solutions.
An exchange of views was held on the prospects for cooperation in the mining and geology sectors. In this regard, it is envisaged to conduct joint geological exploration and development work in mines, as well as establish long-term partnerships in the field of supplying important raw materials.
The negotiations focused on expanding financial cooperation with major Chinese banks. Issues of financing infrastructure projects, modernization of irrigation systems, construction of high-speed highways and hydroelectric power stations, supply of agricultural machinery, and support for small and medium-sized businesses were discussed.
The participants of the meeting expressed gratitude to the head of our state for proactive dialogue and confirmed their firm desire to unconditionally implement the agreements reached.
